Sex Awareness and the Water Park in February
(I’m going
to be posting two different posts this weekend because I was really really
really busy last weekend and the week before that, and didn’t have time to blog. This particular post will be fairly short,
sweet, and to the point)

The week of
Jan. 30-Feb 3 was “Sex-Awareness Week;” so, throughout the week the campus held
various sex-related activities such as a rape awareness video in the Hodge
basement and a “sex-talk” on Thursday. I
didn’t attend either of these because I was not only too busy, but didn’t
particularly wish to attend. The week
ended with “Condom Bingo” – a bingo game played using wrapped condoms as
playing pieces. It was… interesting. The college offered prizes to the winners
such as a car cleaning kit, a basket full of juice, t-shirts, etc. After the game, students could take as many
condoms as they wanted. I took one so
that I could ICM (inter-college mail) it to my friend as a joke.
As I mentioned earlier, the week of Jan 29-Feb 4 was a really really busy one for me; I had a Calc homework due Monday, a Calc test on Tuesday, physics homework due Wednesday, a presentation on Thursday (I presented my research paper from last semester. This particular paper had won the Library Research Award; so, I was presenting it to an audience full of professors, students, and board members/alumni.), and a Western Humanities test on Friday (needless to say, it was a crazy week).

The next
morning, I woke up early to catch the bus of students going on the Kalahari
Water Park Trip. Kalahari is an indoor
water park in Ohio. The trip proved to be
a ton of fun. I spent a day riding water
slides and swimming with several of my Chi Omega sisters. I’m really glad that I went!
